WALL-E

After watching Wall-e, think of some of the things we saw in the movie.

1. What different forms of media did you see?

2. How did the movie make you feel? Think about some of the things we have talked about in Media class.

3. Would you want to live on the Axion?

Once you have answered the questions, hit submit and then you can check out the Wall-e Games!

The Trouble with Trolls by Jan Brett (Eli Ly)

Eil Ly
Trouble with Trolls by Jan Brett
I give it an 8/10 because the troll is funny and they want more and more stuff from Treva. They keep on stealing the dog and she keeps on giving them stuff. I liked the pictures because there is so much detail. I liked looking at the trolls.

Olivia Ly
Dewey the Library Cat by Vickey Myron
I would give thsi book a 10/10. This book just breaks your heart. When I started reading it I could not put the book down! The end is very sad but some of the sections in the book are hillarious. This book is a true story about a ledgendairy cat who is raised by a librarian in Iowa. I would reccomend this book to kids in grades 3 to 4. This book reminded me of my friends cat, Mrs.Mittens. She is very sweet.

    Cade Ly
    Smile by Raina Telgemeier
I love Smile because its an exciting book. The main character's friends are stubburn even though she is having a hard time. Its also reallyy realistic. For example, earthquakes, braces and the "ologists" - the doctors and dentists who help fix her teeth. I thought it was one of my favourite books because when I couldn't read that was the first book I read.

Mr. Daydream by Roger Hargreaves (Brandon Ly)

Scaredy Squirrel in the Dark by Melanie Watt
I would give this book an 8/10. Scaredy Squirrel has a great sense of humor, and anyone would enjoy the adventures of him! I would recommend this book to children ages 4 - 9 but all age groups would really like Scaredy Squirrel. My text-to-world connection is when my neighbour's daughter didn't want to sleep because it was too dark for her!

I would give this book a 6/10 because I like the illustrations but I think Melanie Watt should add more characters to Scaredy Squirrel Makes a Friend. I would recommend to read to little children. My text to self connectioni s when a squirrel came up to me and it was scared.

(Check out the trailer for Scaredy Squirrel's new adventure - Scaredy Squirrel has a Birthday Party)

I think it is a 10/10 because she is normally all crazy about the beach and I think that it connects to me a little bit because I am a little bit crazy about the beach too! I think I would recommend it to girls who love the attitude and funnyness of mice and this one especially because she is funny and she has a lot of attitude too. I would also recommend it to girls who like mice and who kind of like animals.

                  Olivia Ly

Have I Got a Book for You! By Melanie Watt

I give this book a 10/10 because it is funny. It is especially funny when there is a rip in the corner at the end and he says you break it you buy it. I would personally recommend this book to Mr. Morison’s English grade 4/5 class because they would understand the joke. they also like a lot of funny stuff. I think this book is about an animal trying to sell a book. when I read this book it reminded me of the remarkable Scardy Squirrel because of all the immature behaviour.

The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs by Jon Scieszka (Maggie Ly)

                  Maggie Ly

The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs by Jon Scieszka

I gave this book a 10/10 because it is funny.
I recommend it to people who don't like the three little pigs. I think they would like it because it is kind of making fun of the story. It's like the three little pigs but the wolf is telling the story.
